Ford has invested $4.5 billion in electric vehicle solutions, with the goal of putting 13 new electrified nameplates on the market in four short years. When those vehicles arrive at Karl Flammer Ford, will you know what the key differences are?

Ford quickly runs down the differences between the C-Max Hybrid and the C-Max Energi.

Both hybrid vehicles use a powerful lithium-ion battery to run an electric motor, in addition to a traditional gas engine which kicks in to add power where needed. This gives them both unbeatable fuel economy.

The key difference between a traditional hybrid and a plug-in like the C-Max Energi is the size of the battery.

The C-Max Energi has a larger lithium-ion battery, which can be charged via a 120-volt outlet. When charged, it can drive longer distances on all-electric mode. The C-Max Energi also allows you to select Auto EV, EV Now, and EV Later modes.
